Hike for Kids – Twin Falls Loop

Lynn Canyon Park – Twin Falls Loop (Easy)

Beautiful hike in Lynn Canyon Park which includes views from the suspension bridge.

Take the Lynn Valley Road exit off Hwy 1 and follow Lynn Valley Road up the mountain. Turn right on Peters Road where you’ll see the sign for the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge and park in the lot at the end. The ecology centre is located here as well and you can combine this hike with visiting the ecology centre. The ecology centre is great to explore for kids of all ages but especially the fours and up seem to have a real interest in everything that can be found here.

From the parking lot, follow signs for the suspension bridge. When you have crossed the suspension bridge, turn right on the boardwalk and you’ll see the signs for Twin Falls. With little kids this hike probably will take about 45 minutes to an hour max. The hike is a bit more difficult as it’s down and then up again and at the end of the hike there are some stairs that need to be “conquered”. However, this is a beautiful trail and you’ll experience incredible views of the river below from the suspension bridge and the twin falls bridge. And at the end of the hike you can have a rest, a meal or an ice cream at the Lynn Canyon Cafe.
